Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 20, 2026

1. What we collect

When you create a TV Rat account, we collect your email address and password (handled entirely by our authentication provider, Supabase β€” we never see or store your password in plain text). If you set a display name, we store that too.

As you use the app, we store the shows you add to your library, which episodes you've marked watched, and when. That's it β€” no browsing history outside the app, no device fingerprinting, no ad trackers.

2. How we use it

Your data exists to make the app work: showing your library, tracking your progress, and sending you the emails you'd expect (sign-in links, password resets, and β€” if you opt in down the line β€” episode notifications). We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with advertisers.

3. Who else sees it

Two subprocessors handle infrastructure on our behalf: Supabase (database, authentication, and email delivery) and TheTVDB (show and episode metadata β€” posters, descriptions, air dates; TheTVDB doesn't receive any of your personal watch data, we only send them show search queries). We use session cookies to keep you signed in; there are no third-party analytics or advertising cookies.

4. Your controls

You can edit your display name, email, and password at any time from your Profile page. You can delete your account β€” and every row of data tied to it β€” yourself, instantly, from Profile "Delete account". If you'd rather we do it for you, or have any other question about your data, reach out via our Contact page.

5. Changes

TV Rat is under active development. If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and, for material changes, email account holders.

6. Who we are

TV Rat is created and operated by SW TECH LLC, 228 Roland Wiley Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89145 (www.swtech.llc).
